A trail winds a half-mile to Londons gravesite, and on to the impressive ruins of Wolf House, Londons dream house. The latter was destroyed by fire in 1913, just as it was completed. Facilities & Activities An upper parking lot, west of the museum lot, provides access to a picnic area, Londons cottage (known as Beauty Ranch), stables, stone barns, silos, and a pig palace. From here, a three-quarter-mile walk takes you to the dam, the lake, and the bathhouse that Jack built. Longer hikes wind up through fir and oak woodlands en route to rewarding views of the Valley of the Moon.
Passengers will have two and a half hours to walk the three-mile loop trail to the Worlds Tallest Trees and return to the trailhead shelter. The hike to the site is downhill (about 30 minutes) but is said to be very strenuous coming back (allow at least one hour).
